When Anisha and Jacob first reached out, they had one clear vision, a wedding weekend that felt like both of them. She’s Indian, he’s American, and they wanted every guest to experience the beauty of two cultures coming together, not as separate events, but as one seamless story. As their Indian wedding planner, RHS Events stepped in to design, plan, and manage every detail of their two-day celebration in Atlanta.
Day one was all about honoring the bride’s Indian heritage with a fresh, modern twist. With over 500 guests attending the ceremony and sangeet, logistics were everything. From transportation schedules to vendor management and timing, every minute was mapped out so the couple and their families could just be present.
The couple wanted something different from a traditional mandap, so we designed an open-concept mandap that felt airy, inviting, and unexpected. It became the centerpiece of the ceremony: visually stunning and symbolic of their open, blended lives. Guests loved that it didn’t feel like “every other” mandap they’d seen; it was personal, bold, and very them.
Between events, we knew energy levels had to stay up, so the hospitality room was always stocked with snacks, coffee, and drinks. With so many out-of-town guests, this small detail made a huge difference. It became a natural hub where people gathered, caught up, and recharged before the sangeet.
The sangeet itself was a full-on celebration: choreographed dances, heartfelt speeches, vibrant music, and non-stop food. Behind the scenes, RHS Events was cueing performances, coordinating with the DJ, and keeping the timeline tight so the evening flowed effortlessly.

Day two shifted to the groom’s side of the story with an elegant American wedding and reception at the Atlanta History Center. As an experienced planner working often at the Atlanta History Center, RHS Events handled all logistics for the 230-guest day: layout, timelines, vendor arrivals, guest arrivals, transportation schedules, ceremony flow, and reception transitions.
Rain was in the forecast, so we created a full Plan B. That meant reworking layouts, ceremony setup options, and guest flow so that, if needed, we could pivot quickly without guests sensing a hiccup. Even though the weather held, having that rain plan allowed everyone, especially the couple, to stay relaxed.
Because there were two weddings, we also did two full rehearsals: one for the Indian ceremony, one for the American ceremony. This extra step made the families, bridal party, and officiant feel comfortable with the process, which translated into smooth, confident moments on the wedding days.
The reception at Atlanta History Center brought everything together. Subtle Indian elements blended with a classic American aesthetic, think warm lighting, thoughtful décor, and a packed dance floor. Toasts, first dances, and late-night fun flowed effortlessly because the groundwork had been laid months in advance.
In the end, this wasn’t just a multicultural wedding. It was a true fusion, a weekend where no one had to choose one culture over the other. As their Indian wedding planner, RHS Events made sure every tradition, every detail, and every guest experience was carefully thought through, so Anisha and Jacob could simply enjoy the start of their life together.
